Mid-Century 9ct Gold Horse and Side Saddle Rider Pendant Charm

A wonderfully detailed mid-century 9ct gold charm depicting a formally dressed rider seated side-saddle on horseback. With her riding habit and raised hand, the figure is strongly reminiscent of the late Queen Elizabeth II taking part in Trooping the Colour. It is possible that the charm was made around 1952, perhaps to commemorate one of the Queen’s earliest appearances at Trooping the Colour as monarch, although we cannot confirm this with certainty. Full of character and traditional British pageantry, it can be worn as a pendant on a chain or added to a charm bracelet.
