A restricted or damaged hose can contribute to poor drainage and standing water. Lingering odors may result when stagnant water or residue remains in the drain path. Inspect the hose for cracks, kinks, loose connections, and damaged seals before replacement. Installation Tips Use basic tools such as a screwdriver and wrench. Turn off power to the dishwasher and disconnect the water supply before beginning the repair. Remove the kick plate or side panel to access the existing drain hose. Disconnect the old hose from the dishwasher and drain outlet. Connect the replacement hose securely at both ends and check for leaks before returning the appliance to service.
