A beautiful two-door cabinet made by the Jules Leleu workshops in the early 1940s. It fully embodies the decorator’s refined aesthetic where the sobriety of the structure is balanced by the richness of the materials and the attention to detail. The rosewood front is adorned with remarkable marquetry with mother-of-pearl inlay creating a subtle interplay of light and depth. The rosewood base harmoniously extends the lines of the cabinet, while the gilt-bronze sabots further enhance its elegance. The doors open with a delicate lock revealing generous storage space. The cabinet is signed and bears a serial number on the back. A fine example of French cabinetmaking from the 1940s in superb condition, fully restored and refinished in our workshop.
