Carcassonne: Markets of Leipzig
In the Middle Ages, the city of Leipzig (Latin "Lipsia") was the crossing point of the Via Regia and Via Imperii trade routes, which is why numerous markets were established there. In 1507, Leipzig was granted the staple right, which required all passing traders to unload their goods at the staple area and offer them for sale. These four tiles become the new starting tile and represent the city of Leipzig. Anytime you finish a road that connects to this center city, you have the option to forego the point for the road and move the meeple into the center city instead. CONTENTS: 4 double tiles for use with Carcassonne 2 double tiles as a mini expansion for Carcassonne Amazonas Requires the base game of Carcassonne to play. For more information, please refer to the BGG listing. Please note - the tile artwork matches the later editions of Carcassonne. While the backs of the tiles are the same, the artwork on the tile fronts will not match with editions published before 2015. How to tell which version you have? If the city artwork on your tiles contains both red and blue roofs, then you have the newer artwork (2015 to the present). If your cities contain only red roofs, then you have the older versions (pre-2015).
