Warm Hugs Shawl

OK, Summer is over! This time of year I gravitate towards easy layers, easy to put on or take off as the temperature changes. I'm always looking for a simple, wardrobe staples to throw on with anything- and was thrilled to find this design by another Nordic designer. Warm Hugs Shawl is a simple triangle-shaped shawl knit in garter stitch. A a lovely warm and light layer that can be made as small or as large as you want. Depends on how big of a hug you are looking for. The shawl is worked from the middle and outwards in garter stitch. You increase both along the middle of the shawl and on the sides, and this forms a triangle shape. You simultaneously knit an i-cord edge and finally cast off the shawl with an i-cord bind-off. This gives a very pretty and elegant finish. Available in 2 sizes: Small or (large). Finished measurements - tip to tip: approx. 60" or (78)". Finished measurements - height: approx. 26" or (60)". For this pattern we are using our all time favorite Berroco yarn, Ultra Alpaca. Ultra Alpaca is the ideal balance of luxurious super fine alpaca and Peruvian Highland wool blended together and spun up perfectly round and light. Our range of colors includes solid shades, natural heather shades and the irresistible jewels of the collection, dyed heather shades.
