International: Frightful Folklore with Tim Downie | Momentus Event

Spooky season calls for strange stories. Tim Downie has a whole book of them. Join Momentus and actor, podcaster, and author Tim Downie (Baldur's Gate 3, Good Omens, Paddington, and more!) for a spirited conversation inspired by his forthcoming book, Rituals: A Folk Journey Through the Seasons. We’re exploring the curious customs, mysterious places, and enduring traditions of British folklore—and the people keeping them alive. From Punkies to blazing tar barrels, Tim’s travels uncover a world where the wonderfully weird is cause for celebration. Together, we’ll discuss stories from the book, the pull of these age-old rituals, and why folklore still captures our imaginations. 📅 Date: November 1st, 2026 🕒 Time: 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm GMT 📍 Location: Online – Join from anywhere!
