ADIDAS X JOES TORTURED SOUL VA7000

We were commissioned to reimagine the classic Adidas ZX8000. What came outta was a completely new silhouette, The VA7000. In Virginia Beach the ZX8000 was often looked upon as as throwaway sku to retailers, and could be found on store shelves at highly discounted rates (on sale). They often referred to as “trash” but “ones man’s trash……” Hence the Mount Trashmore reference. In 1973 the City of Virginia Beach turned what was an eye sore and the city landfill into a beautiful City Park known as Mount Trashmore. So we took a silouhette that is often referred as something less desirable and made it our own. Upper: Bright lime-green mohair covering nearly the entire shoe, giving it a shaggy texture. Heel: Glossy molded TPU heel counter in matching green. Midsole: White foam midsole with lime-green windows and black outsole. Shoes ship on or before 10/1 Tongue: Black tongue with a white ADIJOE logo. Overall silhouette: A blend of early 1980s running shoe proportions with modern lifestyle styling. Design was inspired by the Famous Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach.
