Anthurium 'Ace of Spades' x 'RVDP'

Anthurium ‘Ace of Spades’ x ‘RVDP’, a first-release dark velvet hybrid grown for collectors Anthurium ‘Ace of Spades’ x ‘RVDP’ (Red Vein Dark Phoenix) A rare seed-grown hybrid combining two exceptional dark velvet Anthuriums, grown from seed originally sourced from @aus.plantmum. Tezula Ace of Spades Dark Form is an exceptional dark parent with purple-black emergents that harden to near-black foliage with a subtle purple hue. Its leaves feature striking dark purple to red venation across both the front and reverse, along with rich purple abaxials. Red Vein Dark Phoenix, from @dark.velvet.aroids, is known for its deep velvety foliage, vivid red venation, red abaxials and richly coloured petioles. Together, these parents bring the potential for exceptionally dark velvet foliage, strong red to purple venation, dramatic emergent colour and beautifully pigmented abaxials. As a seed-grown hybrid, each plant is genetically unique and will develop its own expression as it matures, with variation expected across leaf shape, colour, venation and pigmentation. This is our first release of Anthurium ‘Ace of Spades’ x ‘RVDP’. 10cm tall propagation pots Parent plant images are sourced from @aus.plantmum on Instagram, providing a visual reference for the plant’s lineage.
