Vintage Sound Vintage 5 Princeton 5 watt Combo Amp

Fresh into the shop is this fantastic vintage-style combo amp, featuring a factory master volume and custom-ordered silver tolex. The Vintage Sound Vintage 5 is a hand-wired, all-USA, point-to-point tube amplifier designed by Rick Hayes. Based on the classic mid-60s Blackface AA1164 Fender Princeton Reverb circuit, this "super-modified" amp is scaled down to a true 5-watt output, allowing for full, saturated tube breakup at manageable bedroom, basement, or studio volume levels. The addition of a Master Volume control offers incredible versatility by separating the preamp and power amp stages. This allows you to drive the preamp tubes into natural saturation and crunch while using the master volume to restrict the signal hitting the power stage—delivering gritty, textured tube distortion at apartment-friendly volumes without the need for an attenuator or overdrive pedal. Core Specifications & Features: * Power Output: 5 Watts (Push-pull circuit with two 6V6 power tubes for a deep, punchy response) * Tube Complement: (2) 6V6 Power, (3) 12AX7, (1) 12AT7 Preamp, (1) 5Y3 Rectifier * Speaker: 12" WGS Veteran 30 speaker for richer bass and broader mids * Construction: Hand-wired, custom-wound Heyboer transformers, carbon comp resistors, and Orange Drop capacitors in a finger-jointed solid pine cabinet. * Control Layout: Volume (with custom Push/Pull Bright switch), Treble, Middle (10k pot), Bass, Reverb, Reverb Dwell, and Vibrato (Speed/Intensity). * Modern Amenities: Standby switch and chassis-mounted external bias points for easy maintenance.
