Winery: Domaine Roger Perrin Price per bottle: $98.95 Crafted from exceptionally rare vines aged 75 to over 100 years old, this flagship Southern Rhône red is produced only in the very best vintage years from a traditional blend of Grenache Noir (70–75%), Syrah (15–20%), and Mourvèdre (10–15%). Aged for 12 to 15 months in select wooden barrels and bottled unfiltered, it pours a deep garnet shading into black. On the now remarkably complex with notes of black cherry, vanilla, warm spices, game, tobacco, and cocoa. On the palate, powerful fruit and liquorice give way to silky, elegant tannins built for incredible longevity.
