Google Pixel 10 – GrapheneOS Edition

Google Pixel – GrapheneOS Edition A Google Pixel phone with a privacy-focused upgrade. This Pixel 10 comes with GrapheneOS pre-installed — a privacy and security-focused operating system based on Android Open Source. It has been designed to give you greater control over your data, permissions and apps, while still providing the familiar Android experience you know and love. GrapheneOS strengthens Android’s built-in security and privacy protections, including improved app sandboxing, additional permission controls and privacy-focused settings. It also gives you the choice of whether and how Google services are used, rather than having them deeply integrated into the operating system by default. Still Android. Just more private. Despite its privacy focus, GrapheneOS isn’t a stripped-down or difficult-to-use operating system. Android apps are supported, and Google Play can be installed in a sandboxed environment where Google’s apps and services operate like normal apps rather than having the privileged access they typically have on standard Android. This means you can still use popular apps, streaming services, social media, messaging apps and much more. We’ve also pre-configured the phone with a selection of useful extras as a bonus! A few things to know GrapheneOS is designed with privacy and security as a priority, but there can occasionally be differences compared with a standard Google Pixel. Google Wallet / contactless payments: At present, Google Wallet contactless payments are not supported. This may change in the future as compatibility develops. Banking & financial apps: Many banking and financial apps work normally, but compatibility can vary. A small number of apps may restrict functionality if they detect that the phone is running an alternative operating system or use Google’s device-integrity checks. Compatibility and workarounds can also change as individual apps are updated. For the vast majority of everyday Android use, however, GrapheneOS provides a familiar experience with significantly greater emphasis on privacy, security and user control. Please note: GrapheneOS is an independent open-source project. Fix My i is not affiliated with or endorsed by the GrapheneOS project nor is it responsible for any future functionality changes.
