HotCheck x TiParts Titanium Centrelock Rotor Lock Ring | Outer Spline | Shimano SRAM
S-grade Titanium | Polished Finish | ~7g each | Outer Lock (BB Tool) | For Road/Gravel Made with specialised-grade titanium alloy sourced from one of the leading aerospace-grade titanium manufacturers in the world. Coming in at just 7g, this piece adds extra bling to your ride without compromising toughness and durability due to specialised titanium alloys that provide excellent yield strength and fatigue resistance. Check frame and hub clearance before ordering. The external design needs enough gap between the hub and the frame/fork to fit. Sold as a set of 2 lock rings, suitable to change front and rear wheel lockrings. -------------------------- Features S-grade titanium alloy for a light, corrosion-resistant part External lock design for Centrelock Hubs Low profile at 7.5mm height with 44mm outer diameter Fits common bottom bracket style tools such as Shimano TL-FC32 and Park Tool BBT-9 Stainless Steel washers supplied with each lock ring -------------------------- Specifications Material Lock Ring: S-grade titanium alloy Washer: Stainless Steel Standard Centrelock Hubs, external lock ring Outer Diameter 44mm Total Height 7.5mm Wrench Engagement Height 2.8mm Tool Required BB Tool (Shimano TL-FC32, Park Tool BBT-9 or equivalent) Recommended Torque 40 Nm Intended Use Road and gravel Weights Lock Ring: ~6.8g/piece Washer: ~0.3g/piece -------------------------- Compatibility This lock ring is for Centerlock hubs only. It will not work with 6-bolt rotor mounts. It is an external type, so it needs enough space between the hub and the frame or fork. If that gap is too small and your bike can only use an internal-type lock ring, do not force this one on. Forcing it on will void the warranty. -------------------------- What's Included 2 x titanium Centrelock Rotor Lock Rings 2 x stainless steel washers for the lock ring. -------------------------- Installation and Care This is the core locking part of a Centerlock brake system. Incorrect installation can cause the rotor to loosen, reduced braking power or even brake failure, so we recommend installation by a qualified mechanic with proper tools. Use a suitable bottom bracket style wrench Tighten to 40 N·m with a torque wrench After installing, re-check torque, confirm the rotor has no play, confirm the lock ring sits tightly against the rotor, and spin the wheel to check there is no rubbing noise Every 500 km, check the rotor for looseness and re-tighten with a torque wrench After any crash or impact that hits the rotor, inspect and re-tune the whole disc brake system When removing, use the correct tool so it does not slip and damage the lock ring. If it is very tight, a lever extension can help, but apply force carefully If anything feels wrong during first installation or use, such as visible rotor wobble or a repeating rubbing sound when the wheel spins, stop immediately and contact us. Not for: downhill, enduro, dirt jumps, freeride, e-bike conversions, or any use beyond road and gravel on paved surfaces. -------------------------- Links View the HotCheck Collection View other Rotor Lock Rings
