This seasonal mix combines our petite Persian Carpet Zinnias with larger Burnt Orange and Red Zinnias, creating a naturally varied collection of flower sizes, shapes, and warm fall colors. Expect shades of burnt orange, rust, red, burgundy, gold, yellow, and cream, along with the beautiful two-toned and patterned petals characteristic of Persian Carpet Zinnias. The combination of smaller and larger blooms makes this mix especially wonderful for decorating. Use the larger zinnias as statement flowers and tuck the petite Persian Carpet blooms around them to create layered, abundant floral arrangements with plenty of natural variation and dimension. How to Use Fresh Fall Zinnias Zinnias are edible, but the center of the flower and the base of the petals can have a firmer texture and slightly bitter flavor. For that reason, we recommend using the blooms primarily as an edible decorative garnish or using the individual petals. Use the whole flowers to create beautiful fall-inspired arrangements on cakes, desserts, grazing boards, and other culinary creations. The mix of bloom sizes makes it easy to create dimension: start with the larger Burnt Orange and Red Zinnias as focal points, then fill in with the smaller Persian Carpet Zinnias. The petite blooms are also a beautiful size for cupcakes, individual desserts, cocktails, and mocktails.
