Côteaux Bourguignon ‘Aux Batailles’
In 1939, the very year the Second World War began, a small vineyard in Burgundy was planted. Its name? Aux Batailles, meaning The Battles. Eighty-seven years later, those very vines are still producing extraordinary fruit, now in the hands of Adrien Guyon. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Gamay, this is a beautifully elegant wine, bursting with fresh red cherries and juicy raspberries. Wonderfully light, delicate and full of finesse, it’s a remarkable little piece of Burgundy’s history.
