Jack White has never been a player content to plug into what everyone else is using, and the Pano Verb is the clearest proof of that yet. Developed as a genuine collaboration between White and Fender's own R&D team, led by Fender VP Stan Cotey, the brief was reportedly wide open, with no restrictions on how ambitious the design could get. White wanted an amp that could do "startling things with each speaker's content," drawing on his love of the harmonic tremolo circuit from his vintage Fender Vibrasonic, and the result is an amp that borrows styling and tonal cues from three of his own vintage pieces, a 1964 Vibroverb, a 1960 Vibrasonic and a 1993 Vibro-King, while being an entirely new design under the hood. Rather than a single amp with a stereo trick bolted on, the Pano Verb is genuinely two complete amplifiers built into one cabinet, each with its own preamp and power amp section sharing a single power supply, feeding a 15" and a 10" speaker independently. It is a proper piece of engineering built around one artist's very specific sonic vision, released under the Fender x Third Man Hardware banner that grew out of White's Third Man Records operation in Nashville. It runs a true stereo architecture across two 6L6 and two 6V6 output tubes for a combined 70 watts, with five 12AX7 preamp tubes and a 12AT7 handling gain, reverb and the amp's signature stereo harmonic tremolo, a doubled up version of the classic circuit running two synchronised but opposite polarity paths for genuine width and movement. Reverb can be routed to either speaker independently or blended across both via the Mix, Dwell, Treble and Bass controls and the Split/Full switch, opening up creative panning and mic placement options in the studio or on stage that a conventional amp simply cannot offer. The dual 15" Jensen C15N and 10" Jensen P10R speaker pairing gives the amp a huge, layered voice, with the Stereo/Mono switch allowing the tremolo to run in either mode depending on the situation. Condition is excellent throughout, presenting as a clean, well cared for example with tidy tolex, a clean control panel and grille cloth in great order. It comes complete with its original fitted canvas cover in matching black and yellow, along with the two button reverb and tremolo footswitch with side mounted cable. This is a genuinely rare piece of amp design, not a reissue or a signature paint job on an existing chassis, but a ground up collaboration between Fender and one of modern guitar music's most distinctive voices.
