Create Your Own Set of Bisque Stamps Ready to add some new tricks to your clay toolbox? In this hands-on, three-hour class, you'll design and create your own complementary set of bisque stamps, giving you a collection of custom-made tools for creating all sorts of exciting surface patterns. You'll experiment with the instructor's stamp collection, create a sampler piece to explore pattern possibilities, and discover how your own handmade tools can open up a whole new world of surface design. Bring your imagination, a little curiosity, and a willingness to play with patterns. You'll leave with a fresh set of creative tools and plenty of ideas for putting them to work in your clay projects! Pre-Registration is required. Learning techniques for designing and making bisque stamps. Exploring pattern development and surface decoration. Experimenting with complementary stamp designs to create a wide variety of patterns. Practicing creative problem-solving and discovering new ways to bring your personal style into your clay work. Materials To Bring: A 1/2" to 5/8" thick clay slab, at least 14" square or a comparable rectangle large enough to make your stamps and a vessel, such as a coffee cup. Personal clay tools, including any carving tools you have. Canapé and flower cookie cutters. Slab Preparation: If you don't have access to a slab roller, you may arrive up to one hour early to roll your slab. Location: 1239 16th Street, Vero Beach
