Learn to Spin Your Own Yarn- September

This listing is for a three session Beginner Spinning Course. The classes will be held in person at Bistitchual on Saturday September 26, October 3, and October 10 from 3:00pm-4:30pm Learn how to transform fibre into yarn with our drop spindle class! In this class you will learn how to use a drop spindle to spin starting with woolly fibre and ending with a completed, ready to use yarn. You will learn how to spin a single ply yarn, how to spin a 2-ply yarn using the Andean Plying method, and how to chain ply for a 3-ply yarn over three classes. We will discuss spinning basics as well as different types of yarn, fibres, processing tools, and preparations and how these affect the finished yarn. Drop spindles must be brought by students or purchased in store. 50g of fibre provided in two different colours. Please note that classes will only proceed if we have a minimum of two attendees. If the minimum is not met, there will be the option for a refund or to reschedule. There will be a four person maximum for each class. Please pre-book your spot to let us know you are coming! Cancellation Policy Classes must be paid for at the time of registration to reserve your spot. If cancelled 48 hrs or more prior to the start of the first class will be given a store credit. Classes cancelled less than 48 hrs prior to the start of the class will not be reimbursed.
