BIANCO DELLA PIANA Appellation Bianco del Ticino DOC Grape Varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sémillon Origin Predominantly from vineyards in San Matteo near Cagiallo, with some fruit sourced from other vineyards we cultivate in the Lugano area. Vinification/Viticulture The grapes are destemmed, macerated on the skins for approximately 24 hours, and then pressed gently. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures exclusively in French barriques (one-third new oak, one-third second-fill, and one-third third-fill). Malolactic fermentation is carried out fully in the barriques, followed by an aging period of around one year. The final blend from the various barriques is created only after a tasting session prior to bottling. Color Straw yellow with intense yellow highlights. Aroma Intense and fruity, exceptionally refined and persistent; develops robust notes of citrus fruit and a hint of vanilla. Taste Refined and predominantly fruity, with subtle mineral and spicy notes; features well-integrated acidity of medium intensity, along with lovely freshness and complexity. The flavors linger on the palate. The finish reveals the characteristic aromas derived from aging in oak barrels. Aging Potential 4–8 years Food Pairing Ideal with main courses, white meat, or saltwater fish. Can also be enjoyed simply as an aperitif. Serving Temperature 7°C – 10°C
