Mrs Dalloway in Bond Street, Lasting Echoes No. 5 — Virginia Woolf

In Stock & Ready to Ship Mrs Dalloway in Bond Street Virginia Woolf The fifth title in Lasting Echoes, a letterpress series celebrating short stories that endure. About this Edition Before she was the center of a novel, Clarissa Dalloway first appeared in this short story, first published in The Dial in 1923. On an ordinary June morning she walks out to buy a pair of gloves. From that small errand Woolf builds an entire inner world: memory, class, and the trauma of the First World War, still pressing on the living just beneath the surface of an ordinary hour. Little happens on the page, and nearly everything happens in the mind. It earns its place in Lasting Echoes as proof that the interior life often carries more weight than the events that frame it.
