*A Vontade - Stand Collar Work Jacket, Sumi - VTD-0603-JK This is a very special piece from *A Vontade this season. This is a 1960's British inspired Work Jacket made from a 100% Cotton Moleskin which has been dyed in a Sumi Ink colour. The fabric starts as a beige base cloth which is pigment dyed (which means an insoluble dye rests on the top of the fabric and doesn't penetrate the inner fibres). The result is an incredible wash that makes the garment look beautifully aged and will continue to age with wash and wear. You can see the original colour of the cloth on the inside of the garment. The jacket features a small stand collar, reminiscent of British Railroad jackets and looks great layered under and over other garments. It features a 3 patch pocket design with a single inner chest pocket for valuables. It has a nice oversized fit with articulated sleeves that roll forward and create much easier movement. The jacket is a mid length, not fully covering the glutes but not cropped. Composition: 100% Cotton Made In Japan. Care: Cold Wash. Separately by colour. Do not tumble dry. (Dye may bleed when wet)
