Friday, April 23, 2027 Noon – 6:00 PM 11” x 11” top (round) x 4” H. Base is 6.5” x 6.5” square. Prerequisites: Students need a eye for seeing details so they can correctly weave the diagonals , a lot of weaving experience, and patience. Learn the challenging chair cane pattern done in 3-D and make a lovely fruit bowl too! The basket begins by laying out the base flat on the table in a vertical and horizontal weave with royal blue spokes. The red diagonal weavers are added before upsetting the sides. On the sides we will first weave in the double parallel row and then add the diagonals to lock the spokes in place. This basket is sure to stretch your weaving skills. Tools needed: Usual basket tools including 2 small spoke weights, small & large clips, packers, needle nose pliers, angle cutters, scissors, scrapers, cutting board, measuring tape, electrical ties, spray bottle, towel, water container, and any other tools the student may find helpful.
