It is still considered today one of the most successful light tactical vehicles in its category, capable of offering a good level of protection against small-arms fire and shrapnel. The Lince’s crew compartment is designed as an armored “capsule” independent from the chassis, a solution that improves crew protection in the event of explosions beneath the hull. The Lince has been deployed in numerous operational theaters, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and the Balkans.
