With over a decade of age, this vintage is entering a beautifully expressive phase: open, generous, and already deeply enjoyable, yet still holding clear potential for further development in bottle. The nose shows ripe red currants, plums, and raspberries, underpinned by earthy notes of dust and sun-warmed soil. On the palate, fruit remains at the forefront, complemented by savoury hints of sautéed mushrooms and a subtle Tuscan rusticity. As winemaker Axel Heinz noted, “This generous wine displays a particularly enticing character… with a sumptuous body and a long-lasting finish.” A standout Ornellaia with both immediate appeal and the structure to reward further cellaring.
