Sydney Contemporary Beadwork Beginners Workshop 23rd May 2026
MUST BOOK DIRECT: https://www.sydneycommunitycollege.edu.au/course/CBAB Learn the beautiful artform of contemporary beadwork. Popular in Ready-to-Wear fashion, Millinery, Applique and Textiles. You’ll master a variety of techniques, from working with specialty sequins, crystals, bugles and seed beads using a beading needle to creating stunning 3D elements on a baroque inspired intricate design that adds texture, height and dimension. All of these techniques will be practiced on silk organza, using a rotating embroidery frame for precision and ease. As a final step, you’ll learn how to expertly apply your appliqué to a garment, bringing your designs to life with elegance and craftsmanship. Please remember although you will be learning in a mixed technique group, your class is tailored specifically to your progress.
