Ford 8.8 rear ends have proven incredible strength with very few modifications in racing. Adding a spool, upgraded axles, and welding axle tubes can prove to be a sustainable high strength solution without building an entire new rearend making for an economical solution. When switching to a spool or when adding lightweight race brakes that are not a floating caliper design, removing c-clip axles is a must from a safety as well as functionality standpoint. Mark Williams Fox body 8.8 C-Clip eliminator kit gives you an easy, off the shelf solution for accomplishing this. These will accomodate a factory Fox Body length 8.8 housing when paired with a Mark Williams steel c clip eliminators offer a high strength option that seals better and provides strength on the bearing end. Our Hi-Torque kit provides you some of the strongest axles on the market with our 4340 thru hardened axles for a long lasting high strength axle you can depend on. Included: Fox Body length MW 35 spline (Mark Williams increased strength pressure angle spline) 4340 Hi-Torque axles (5x4.5" bolt pattern) Mark Williams steel c clip eliminator kit w/ bearings Optional 1/2" studs or 5/8" studs Note: this c-clip eliminator axle kit has a 2.5" axle offset which requires aftermarket brakes. This is a common brake offset found with many aftermarket brake combinations such as TBM Brakes Note: modification to the housing ends is required for the C-clip eliminator kit to bolt up. This can be accomplished with common tools such as cutoff wheel, sawzall, and grinder.
