Mother’s Day - Wheel Throwing Workshop Celebrate Mother’s Day with a beautifully guided pottery wheel experience designed for a small, intimate group. This 1.5-hour session is the perfect introduction to wheel throwing, a tactile, immersive process that invites you to slow down, connect, and create something meaningful by hand. Whether you’re joining with Mum or treating her to something special, this experience is about more than just pottery it’s about sharing time, trying something new, and creating lasting memories together. Cost: $120 per person (4 people sessions for the wheels) What to Expect In this small group workshop (maximum of 4 participants), you’ll receive personalised guidance as you learn the foundational techniques of wheel throwing. Together, we’ll explore centering the clay, opening the form, pulling walls, and shaping your pieces on the wheel. The process takes patience, but it’s incredibly rewarding — and there’s always plenty of laughter, creativity, and beautiful moments along the way. What You’ll Make Most first-time students create 1–3 small forms, such as tumblers, bowls, or simple vessels. At the end of the session, you’ll select your favourite two pieces to be kept and finished. If you fall in love with more of your creations (which often happens), additional pieces can be kept and fired for $15 each. What Happens Next After the workshop, your selected pieces will remain in the studio for trimming, drying, and kiln firing. You can choose to: • return in 2 weeks for a Glaze Your Own Pottery session to add colour and detail • have your pieces professionally glazed in one of our signature finishes (a clear glaze is included, with coloured glazes available for $15 per piece), ready for collection or shipping within approximately 3-5 weeks All finished pieces are fully functional, food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-friendly.
