White Southern Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora) Enamel Pin

This beautiful White Southern Magnolia Flower Enamel Pin features the lovely blossom that's also known by its scientific name of Magnolia grandiflora. There are many types of magnolias around the world, most of them are trees or shrubs with large, cup or star-shaped blossoms that come in a few striking colors. Magnolias are an ancient genus, dating back to the Cretaceous period. These plants even predate bees and used to be pollinated by other ancient insects. They have adapted more recently to attract bees for pollination. The magnificent magnolia is the state flower of Louisiana and Mississippi. This pin is 2.75" tall and is plated with a highly polished gold plating with hard enamel and three posts on the back. The colors used in this pin include yellow, white and green.
