A mini version of the popular kokeshi bento boxes, this design features a 'maiko', which is a young apprentice to 'geisha' in Japan. It literally translates to 'dancing child'. It's like the younger sister of the bigger 'kokeshi maihime' version. It's a compact bento box, great for kids or for those who want a smaller portion, measuring at 440ml over two layers (plus 240ml with the bowl). You can reheat the layers (without the inner lids) in a microwave, and use a dishwasher for cleaning. And if you have some instant soup (like miso soup), you can use the top bowl to prepare it - just add hot water. The bento shown in the image carousel is using the Kokeshi Hanako bento box.
