Antique African Carved Hardwood Headrest or Low Stool

An African carved hardwood headrest or low stool hand-carved from a single piece of dense hardwood. The circular seat is supported by four stout cylindrical legs, creating a simple yet powerful sculptural form that reflects the practical elegance of traditional African craftsmanship. The top displays an attractive network of age-related shrinkage and drying cracks radiating from the center, while the sides retain traces of incised geometric decoration.
