Melamine edge banding

Melamine edge banding is a thin decorative strip — usually melamine-impregnated paper bonded to a base — that you apply along the exposed edge of particle board, MDF, or plywood panels. It seals the raw edge, matches the panel surface, and gives the finished furniture a clean line.
