Influenced by the decorative experimentation of European textile studios during the 1920s, layered petals unfold through painterly movement, both delicate and vibrant. The floral forms possess a hand-rendered spontaneity, while the repeating composition reflects the artistry of traditional block-printed fabrics. Originally created in 1923, seven carved printing plates interlock to imprint warm red, coral, butter yellow, soft lilac & deep charcoal tones, giving the piece its distinctly romantic modernist character.
