True 1950s Dress in Sheer Navy Blue

Original vintage 1950s semi sheer navy blue dress in a 1930's style. Features a small Peter Pan collar, keyhole neck, pleated yoke, bracelet sleeves, and seamed / sectioned skirt that creates a lovely side drape. NOTE: Belt shown is not part of the sale. The skirt is in keeping with the 1930's style but has inner seams edged with pinking shears and it closes with a side nylon zipper. Has belt loops. The fabric is a burnt out style. Unlined. Best fit: approx UK 14 / 16 but see below. This has a little give to the fabric. Bust: 38 Underarm to underarm: 20 Waist: Shoulders: 15 Armholes: 19 Sleeves (shoulder seam to hem): 17 1/2 Shoulder to waist seam: 16 Hips: up to 44 Length: 42 inch / 107 cm Measurements are taken with the garment laid flat. This is a seamstress made dress and has both machine and hand stitched seam and hem finishes.
