Kimono dress gown and string belt upcycled from Genuine vintage Japanese kimono This dress gown is made of a vintage silk kimono. This is originally a kimono for men. It used to be worn as the first formal kimono for Japanese men. I would suggest a style that is unisex and casual wear. A beautiful antique silk black kimono is worn as a robe. The name of the fabric is 羽二重 Habutae. I want to propose a style in which a vintage kimono is worn like a beautiful coat. I and the sewing team upcycled this kimono piece. In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but in the Meiji era (1868-1912), ordinary people were allowed to have KAMON.
