Kids 2-Day Intro to Wheel Throwing – July 29th & 30th, 2026 (Wednesday and Thursday)

Instructor: Violet Nolder Date: July 29th & 30th, 2026 (Wednesday and Thursday) Time: 10:30am-12:00pm Cost: $60 per student Age: 7-14 Welcome to our first 2 part wheel throwing class for kids! The goal of the class is to provide an introduction to kids interested in trying out wheel throwing. An introductory demo explaining all the basic beginner level throwing techniques such as: centering, pulling walls, and trimming a pot will be provided to students. In the first class students will have time to throw a few pieces and get a feel for the wheel. In the second class students will trim and finish the pieces they threw in the first class. They will be able to give their pieces a handle or any other attachments they might like to add during this class. Three pounds of clay and all tools will be provided for each student. The instructor will later glaze the students’ pieces for them after they’ve been fired in our kilns. Parents will then be contacted to be able to pick up their finished pieces. Please understand that pieces may take up to a month to be finished and ready for pick up after the date of the last class.
