Mapecoat I 600 W – two-component, transparent, water-based epoxy primer Mapecoat I 600 W is a professional-grade, two-component epoxy primer developed for use before the application of vapour-permeable resin systems and decorative outdoor resin screeds. It can also be used as an anti-dust treatment for concrete floors and cementitious screeds, or as an adhesion primer before resin-based protective coatings. Its water-based formulation makes it easy to apply and suitable for environments where low odour and low VOC emissions are important. It is also compatible with sustainable building requirements, including LEED-related projects, and is EPD compliant. The product must then be diluted with water according to the intended use: 1:1 as primer for Mapefloor I 500 W 1:0.5 before applying Mapefloor Urban System 1:1 up to 1:5 for use as an adhesion primer or anti-dust treatment, depending on substrate absorption Apply in an even coat using a medium- or long-pile roller. When used as a primer, lightly broadcast Quartz 0.5 onto the wet surface. Wait at least 3–4 hours before removing excess sand and applying the next system layer. Coverage Approximate consumption: 0.15–0.50 kg/m², depending on substrate absorption, surface roughness, dilution rate, and method of application. Protect from frost. Important notes Do not dilute with solvents. Do not apply on weak, contaminated, oily, or poorly prepared substrates. Protect the applied product from water for at least 24 hours, and only apply when substrate and ambient conditions are within the recommended temperature and humidity limits.
