Kids Kaleidoscope Sweater Pattern

Just like the adult version, the Kaleidoscope Kids Sweater is a wonderful beginner sweater that is a celebration of yarn and color but just in a mini version! Let your inner creative shine as you experiment and go with the flow with color and yarn placement. This style is a seamless, yoke-style sweater, worked in the round, from the top down entirely in stockinette stitch using one color or a mix of colors/yarns. It has a straight body and full-length sleeves with a crochet border to finish off all of the edges. Perfect for layering and showing your kid’s own style, this sweater is so versatile and fun to create. Pattern details: Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate Knitter Needle Size: Size US 17 (12.75 mm) 32” / 80-100 cm circular needle, plus additional needles of the same size for your preferred method of small circumference knitting Size N/US 15 (10 mm) crochet hook for edging Adjust needle / hook sizes as necessary to match gauge. Note if you adjust your needle size, the crochet hook should be approx. 2 mm smaller than the knitting needle when gauge is met. Sizes: 4 (6, 8, 10, 12) yrs Finished Measurements: 25.5 (27.75, 30, 32, 34)” / 64.5 (70.5, 76, 81.5, 86.5) cm chest circumference. Recommended to be worn with 1-3” / 2.5-7.5 cm of positive ease across the chest. Fit Note: Kids come in all shapes and sizes. Each person is wonderful and unique and so is their body. If the child’s measurements do not match the age, it is recommended to choose a size that has the best measurements. Please note with testing it was determined that Sizes 4, 6, and 8 yrs only need 1 skein of Spun Cloud yarn.
