Crank Assembly 6101
This chain drive crank system is located behind the rear body panel, directly at center. This is the compression system and ratchet upper crank. When you turn the crank handle to the right, the clutch engages within this unit. A chain then drives the lower lift and the roof raises. This bolt on replacement system is most commonly found on units built after the 1980's. The body panels height on the side of the camper will measure 24-1/2 inches. We have also increased the length of the drive hub tube slightly for a better fit for more units. How to install this system Please note : Hard to raise roof issues are not fixed by replacing the crank assembly. This problem is typically caused by a failing thrust bearing or lack of maintenance. Please take a look at our products and video's covering hard to raise roof issues.
