This pump has been disassembled, inspected for cracks or other deformities, cleaned, bead blasted and Alodine dipped which gives it a (gold tint = an aviation corrosion protection) and Professionally reassembled using the OEM Honda specifications. Then with the coolant drain still open, insert a garden hose into the radiator, fill it up and start the engine, with the drain open, and the hose on, let it run for several minutes, this will flush out any corrosion or other contaminates that could scratch the mechanical seal in the new pump.
