Backun Bass Clarinet Bell for Buffet Tosca/Prestige (Cocobolo/Grenadilla)

These are two one-of-a-kind bells for a Buffet bass clarinets. (As in: these are on consignment from a player who has retired and would like to re-home them, and no more will be available). If you're curious about what a wooden bell might do for you and your bass, please watch this (old!!) video I made about the Selmer bass clarinet bell Morrie Backun made for me about 25 years ago. TL;DR: It definitely has an effect on the sound — just not necessarily where you might think! Yes, it makes the low C# and C sound a lot more mellow & less harsh, but it has a really neat effect on the Clarion register too. Makes it more fluid, I found.
