It combines a rigid pipe, essential in hot climates, with the flexibility typically found only in hydraulic lines. Once bent, it stays in position and requires no complicated fixing. Vibrations and engine movements have no effect on it. A Dash 10 external thread at the end allows for highly flexible connection to hydraulic fittings and lines. The elongated holes provide some flexibility for use with other turbochargers with similar flange designs. The cross-section of the return bore is precisely sized to ensure the necessary oil return flow.
