Seeking Asylum: Our Stories, published by Black Inc in partnership with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, is a beautifully photographed hardback collecting first-person accounts from people who have lived the experience of seeking asylum in Australia. Contributors write about growing up in refugee camps, rebuilding careers and families, and navigating a new country and its immigration system, accompanied by portrait photography throughout. Includes a foreword by Liliana Maria, an essay by Abdul Karim Hekmat on the history of Australia's approach to asylum seekers, and an afterword by Kon Karapanagiotidis.
