About Colnago: Colnago is an Italian bicycle manufacturer founded by Ernesto Colnago in 1954 near Milan, in Cambiago, Italy. Colnago gained recognition in 1957 when Gastone Nencini won the Giro d’Italia on a Colnago bicycle. In 1960, Luigi Arienti won a gold medal at the Rome Olympics while riding a Colnago bicycle. Colnago's partnership with Eddy Merckx significantly influenced the company's success and reputation in the cycling world. This collaboration began in 1967 when Colnago supplied Merckx with custom wheels for the Milan-San Remo race, which Merckx won.
