Lily's Posy

This beautiful posy was designed by Lily Powell on her work experience placement from year ten (aged 15) at Calder High School. In her week working with us at the studio she tried on some of the many hats that you have to wear as a small creative business owner and when I suggested she designed a posy she jumped at the chance and spent a morning sketching, using her favourite flower, the bluebell, as a jumping off point. Lily designed these flower stems, learned how to digitise her drawings and then we cut them out on the laser cutter. We then did a photoshoot and then she packaged them all up beautifully, ready for some sales. We originally listed twenty posies but when we sold out in half an hour we decided to keep sales open for another day. We sold ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY! Lily now understands what it's like to be busy at work and get all the orders in the post :) She is buzzing! And she's going home with some money in her pocket.
