In the highest areas, at around 1,600 meters above sea level, lies a coffee plantation mainly cultivated under shade, among native trees such as mamecillo, cenizo, and cedar. As of 2024, this farm belongs to Fruits and Coffee of Panama, managed by Pedro Rodríguez, a Spanish entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in coffee in Panama, and Ezequiel Batista, a coffee producer born and raised in this beautiful Panamanian village. The Geisha is processed using a natural method. The cherries were harvested at perfect ripeness, then washed with clean water to remove impurities and defective beans, before being sun-dried on African beds for about 30 days. The result is a coffee radiating sweetness and elegance, with fruity and floral notes that are typical of this exceptional variety.
