There is a frontispiece of the author in Volume 1 and gilt on the foredge on three sides. Volume 5 has a section of moderate to heavy foxing. The volumes have some rubbing or light wear at the cover and spine connection. The endpages are good with some areas of foxing. The bindings are sound. The Faerie Queen is complete in Volumes 1-4.
