Pic 'n' Vic Socks Kit by Nicole Hawkesford (Annual Six)

We now offer handy kits for all our patterns in The Annual (issue six)! These are the delightful Pic 'n' Vic Socks designed by Nicole Hawkesford, a fabulous pattern that allows you to mix and match those London Underground-inspired colourwork designs. All kits include enough yarn to knit the socks in the long leg length and any of the sizes, along with a fab project bag to keep it all safe. Nicole Hawkesford's Pic 'n' Vic Socks are inspired, as you might have guessed from the name, by the Piccadilly and Victoria lines and and their iconic moquette seat patterns. You can pick'n'mix the four different colourwork designs as you like, and to top it off, these socks are great to play with different colours too! They're knit from the cuff down with a short-row heel and rounded toe. You can choose between two leg lengths, and have a bit of fun with stripes on the foot. We love our trusty Exmoor Sock yarn for these! The colour palette provides lots of options to choose your favourite shades – we have picked a few that we particularly like. If you are looking for a non-superwash, no-nylon sock yarn, we've got you covered too: Our Devonia 4ply is an excellent choice for socks.
