Introduced at Baselworld 2018, it has gained much fanfare, featuring all the attributes of their dive watches with the addition of a GMT function, making it a perfect companion for the travelling explorer. Here we have a 2019 Tudor Black Bay GMT 41mm on Bracelet 79830RB with a 41mm stainless steel case that is polished and satin-finished; its curvaceous flanks have a polished chamfered edge leading to a lug-to-lug length of 51mm and a case thickness of 15mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. A bidirectional Pepsi bezel with a 24-hour scale. A large screw-down crown makes adjustment a breeze. The domed sapphire crystal protects a matt black dial with an outer minute track. Applied disc and baton indexes are filled with lume; at 12 o’clock, we have the characteristic inverted triangle. Snowflake hands are complemented with a GMT hand with a red stem and white head for excellent visibility. The Tudor motif is at 12 o’clock, and the “GMT Chronometer Officially Certified” at 6 o’clock completes this versatile traveller companion. Inside, we have the in-house automatic Tudor MT5652, 28 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. It incorporates the GMT jumping-hour functionality and allows adjustments in 1-hour increments in both directions for the local hour hand. It comes paired with its original 22mm Tudor leather strap with a signed deployant clasp, and an additional Tudor 22mm leather strap. The watch comes with its original Tudor Box and Paperwork.
