The fragrance introduces oud to the Sauvage collection for the first time, using Vietnamese oud as a central element within its woody fougère structure. Bergamot and lavender preserve the aromatic freshness associated with Sauvage, while ambroxan reinforces its distinctive mineral character. The composition then moves into a darker woody register, where oud is supported by Atlas and Virginia cedars, patchouli and vetiver. The contrast between aromatic brightness and dense woods gives Sauvage Extrait a richer, more substantial character while retaining a clear connection to the original Sauvage identity.
