"Cubic Prism" Blue Zircon Pink Sapphire Yellow Sapphire Anodized Niobium Pendant

Patrick has spent recent weeks testing this hypoallergenic gray metal, niobium, running precise electric currents through it to coax out color. For this pendant, Patrick set out to echo the vibrant yellow, cyan, and magenta of prism cubes, mapping out each current with that exact effect in mind. He added blue zircon, a yellow sapphire and a pink sapphire to complement the anodized colors on the niobium. What you're seeing isn't paint or dye, it's a durable oxide layer, formed by the current itself, that reflects certain wavelengths of light back to your eye.
