DAY AT THE BEACH Hand Dyed on Feather Fingering - Splashed & Speckled Yarn

Imagine that you just arrived at the beach. You walk through the tall green grasses toward the sand. You reach the sand and see the blues and greens of the ocean with white waves cresting in the distance. It's a quiet day with just a few other people enjoying the ocean breezes. The ocean meets the sky, which is lighter blue with soft fluffy clouds wandering lazily by. You find the perfect spot to put up your bright yellow beach umbrella and set up your salmon-colored chair. You gaze happily at the ocean and prepare for a relaxing day at the beach. I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein has the same colors but with different placement. This colorway varies from batch to batch more than most, so I recommend buying as much as you think you'll need for your project. YARN BASE I used Feather Fingering as the yarn base. Feather Fingering is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
